NET Nodes
Nodes are addressable systems that exist at coordinates in the external NET.
Standing on a coordinate containing a Node does not automatically place your
icon inside that Node.
Use:
connect
to enter the Node's login area.
Connecting does not defeat the Node's internal security. Protected passages,
accounts, credentials, access levels, ICE, privileged resources, and other
controls are encountered after entering the Node.
`connect` itself does not automatically run an ICE Breaker or perform a
Hacking check.
Once connected, ordinary `look` shows the Node login area you currently
occupy.
Use:
disconnect
to leave the Node and return your icon to the external NET coordinate where
you entered it.
`disconnect` is NOT the same as:
jackout
`jackout` ends the entire NET session and returns conscious control to your
physical body.
WarDialer movement is also separate. WarDialer transfers your icon between
coordinates on the same Z plane; it does not by itself cross a Node's access
boundary.
