Rastifier's ICE Plug (NET Software)
ICE Plug repairs one specific passage's protection, restoring it back
to its original, active state -- whether that protection had been
disabled or destroyed. ICE Plug itself never moves you.
While you are connected to a NET host, target the specific passage:
run ICE Plug <direction>
You can also run it by its local file number.
ICE Plug does not attack or hack anything -- it never rolls against
the protection at all. It only works if you are authorized to perform
repairs on that specific passage, and it will refuse you outright if
you are not. Ordinary passage authorization is not the same as repair
authorization -- being cleared to walk through a passage does not by
itself mean you are cleared to repair its protection.
If there is nothing broken to fix, or repair is not something that
passage supports at all, ICE Plug will tell you so and nothing will
happen.
ICE Plug needs 1 unit of free RAM while it runs and releases it when
the attempt finishes. The stored copy stays on your deck and can be
run again.
