Magus 1.7 (NET Software)
Magus shares Gothix Grind 1.0's effect: it attacks the protection on
one specific passage directly, and if it succeeds, that protection is
disabled for EVERYONE, not just you -- Magus itself never moves you.
While you are connected to a NET host, target the specific protected
passage:
run Magus <direction>
You can also run it by its local file number.
Unlike Grind, Magus is ONE-SHOT: the stored copy is consumed the moment
you make a real attempt against a real target, whether that attempt
succeeds or fails. It is NOT consumed just by typing the command with no
valid target, and it is NOT consumed if something goes wrong before a
real attempt happens. If you own more than one copy, use its local file
number to pick exactly which one you spend.
A successful Magus leaves the target boundary open to anyone who
crosses it afterward, with no authorization of any kind created for you
or them. Disabled protection stays disabled until someone with the
authority to do so explicitly restores it.
Magus needs 5 units of free RAM while it runs and releases them when
the attempt finishes, win or lose.
