chipper detail (Chipper)

Chipper 2.3 (NET Software)

Chipper attacks the protection on one specific passage directly, and
if it succeeds, that protection is DESTROYED for EVERYONE, not just
you -- Chipper itself never moves you.

While you are connected to a NET host, target the specific protected
passage:

    run Chipper <direction>

You can also run it by its local file number.

Destroyed protection is not the same as merely disabled protection: it
stays destroyed until someone with the authority to do so explicitly
restores it -- ordinary crossings do not repair it, and it does not
wear off on its own. A failed attempt changes nothing -- the
protection stays active and you stay exactly where you were.

Chipper needs 5 units of free RAM while it runs and releases them when
the attempt finishes, win or lose. The stored copy stays on your deck
and can be run again.
