CodeBreaker 1.0 (NET Software)
CodeBreaker is an ICE-breaker: cyberdeck software that attempts to slip
YOU, personally, past one specific protected passage inside a host you
are connected to -- the same shape as Echo v0.07a.
While you are connected to a NET host, run it at a target direction or
named passage:
run CodeBreaker <direction>
You can also run it by its local file number.
If the attempt succeeds, you cross immediately. If it fails, you stay
exactly where you were; nothing about you or the host changes.
CodeBreaker does NOT log you in, does not raise your access level, and
does not disable the boundary's protection for anyone else. A successful
crossing is good for exactly that one crossing: the SAME passage
requires a fresh CodeBreaker attempt every single time, even moments
later, even for you. Who 3.4 still reports you as unauthorized
afterward if you were unauthorized before.
CodeBreaker needs 3 units of free RAM while it runs and releases them
when the attempt finishes, win or lose. The stored copy stays on your
deck and can be run again.
