weapon modifications detail (Weapon Modifications)

Weapon Modifications

Real hardware -- scopes, suppressors, fire-control modules, recoil
systems, magazine adapters, the grip-mounted smartlink module -- can
be physically installed onto a firearm that declares a matching
modification slot. Not every firearm supports every slot; check
`weaponstatus <weapon>` to see what it accepts.

    weaponmod install <mod> on <weapon>
    weaponmod remove <mod> from <weapon>

This is a SEPARATE command family from `install`/`remove`, which are
reserved for surgical cyberware and organs -- weapon hardware never
goes through the medical system.

Removing a modification never destroys or drops it; the same physical
object returns to your hands. You can name an installed mod by its
own name, or by the slot it occupies (for example, "smartlink").

Installing or removing a fire-control module changes what fire modes
a weapon can use -- see help firearms. Installing a smartlink
module in the dedicated `smartlink` slot never uses up the optic,
muzzle, barrel, recoil, or underbarrel slot -- see help smartlink.
