Natural Weapons and Fighting Styles
Unarmed combat runs off the Unarmed Skill no matter which stance you
fight in -- the stance changes how that Skill is weighted and what
the exchange looks like, not which Skill matters.
Three baseline options need no training beyond the Unarmed Skill
itself: hands, teeth, feet.
Seven martial-arts styles are purchasable Edges: Tae Kwon Do,
Savate, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Dirty Fighting, Aikijutsu, Taijitsu.
Selecting one requires owning its matching Edge -- an unowned style
is refused outright, never silently downgraded to hands.
Each style favors a different mix of Attributes and carries its own
combat narration. Fighting in a purchased style also enters a
rock-paper-scissors matchup against the other six: some styles hold
an edge over others, reflecting real strengths and weaknesses
between striking arts, clinch fighters, redirect/joint-lock arts and
unpredictable street violence.
