Firearm Suppressors

A firearm suppressor is a physical weapon modification installed in the
weapon's muzzle modification slot.

A suppressor reduces the acoustic information available from a gunshot. For
long-range sniper fire, suppression can prevent acoustic source localization.

Suppression does not make the attack invisible and does not erase the incident.

A person physically present with the shooter may still see and identify the
shooter. People at the victim's location may still perceive the impact or its
aftermath even when they cannot identify the distant attacker.

A suppressor also does not turn an unsuitable firearm into a sniper-capable
weapon. Sniping still requires a sniper-capable firearm, magnified scope,
Sniper Edge and valid committed rooftop firing line.
