identity and recognition detail (Identity And Recognition)

Identity and Recognition

Canonical identity and observer knowledge are separate.

Two people can therefore receive different presentations of the same
Character depending on what each observer has learned.

Remembering people

    remember <target> as <name>
Store the name you personally associate with someone.

    forget <target>
Stop using your remembered name for that person.

    recall <target>
Review what you remember about a specific person.

    memory
        Review your remembered-identity report.

Your remembered name is your own knowledge. It does not rename the other
Character or reveal their canonical identity to anyone else.

Presentation personas

    appear
        Inspect current presentation overrides.

    appear taller
    appear shorter
    appear thinner
    appear fatter
    appear <keyword>
        Change an observer-facing presentation axis.

    remember me as <persona name>
Save the current presentation overrides as a persona.

    personas
        List saved personas.

    persona <name>
        Inspect one saved persona.

    appear <persona name>
        Restore a saved persona.

    stop appearing
        Drop active presentation overrides.

    forget <persona name>
        Delete a saved persona.

A persona is presentation state, not a replacement canonical identity.
Physical disguise equipment is also separate and remains real equipment.

Voice recognition can likewise identify a familiar speaker even when visual
identity is unavailable.
