Forensics and Severance
Corpses, severed heads, and blood pools can hold useful evidence.
Inspecting evidence
Use inspect when you want to examine forensic evidence.
Examples:
inspect corpse
inspect severed head
inspect blood pool
Inspect uses your Investigation skill. It is useful for evidence
and identity clues. It is not a medical autopsy.
Autopsy
Autopsy is a professional medical procedure. You need the
Forensic Pathology Edge to perform one.
Example:
operate corpse
Then choose Autopsy from the procedure menu.
Autopsy uses your Diagnosis skill. A successful autopsy can
reveal medical findings such as cause of death, wounds, and organ
damage. It does not automatically tell you who the body is.
Your examination result on that body is persistent. Repeating the
same autopsy does not give you a fresh roll.
There is no separate autopsy command. Use operate for the
medical procedure and inspect for evidence examination.
Severance
Severed body parts are real persistent objects. They can keep
wounds, descriptions, and installed material from the body they
came from.
